🚀Startup Hours
Startup Hours is a weekly event for all Cornell builders, aspiring VCs, and overall startup enthusiasts run by Life Changing Labs. We host every Thursday from 7:30 - 9:30 pm on the 3rd floor of eHub Collegetown, and provide free food to those that sign up by Wednesday, 4:00 pm.

We’re looking for students to present their startup during Startup Hours (<5 minutes, very chill we promise)! Quick shout out to Perfect Earth, a Cornell student-founded startup selling organic, gluten-free vegan ramen that was presented in September! If you’d like to be next, please indicate so on the Startup Hours Luma.
Occasionally, guest speakers are invited to Startup Hours. Our previous speakers (Fall ‘24):
Sean Cai: General Catalyst fellow, Dyson senior, and former LCL Academic Team President
Arsen Tomsky: Founder and CEO of inDrive
Josh Nelson: Director of Pre-Seed and Seed Fund Investing at NY Ventures

LCL Academic Team Highlights
The entire Life Changing Labs team is here to help you—whether you’re building something, looking for more resources, or if you just want a friend to chat with about entrepreneurship. Introducing our first three!
Caroline Zhu: Co-President of LCL Academic Team
College: Dyson
Major: AEM; Minor: CS
I’m From: Syosset, NY
Email: cz364@cornell.edu / carolinezhu@dormroomfund.com
Hi! My name is Caroline and I’ve been the President of Life Changing Labs since Fall ‘23 (it is now my 3rd semester)! I’m also an investment partner at Dorm Room Fund – the original student venture fund backed by a16z, First Round, and more. I am building a startup that helps creators monetize (LCL Summer '24, current Cornell eLab), and also help organize BigRed//Hacks in the fall. I’m always happy to chat about Cornell's entrepreneurship community and connect you to great founders, investors, and builders! (It’s quite literally my job).
Kamie Aran: Co-President of LCL Academic Team
College: Arts & Sciences
Major: Computer Science
I’m From: Brooklyn, NY
Email: ka447@cornell.edu
Hi, I’m Kamie and I’m Co-President of Life Changing Labs. I’m a junior at Cornell studying Computer Science and currently building Gieia, which I’ve been working on since high school. Gieia is an app for teens to assess their mental wellness on their own, at any time. I just launched Gieia this past summer after raising investment from the 1517 Fund and the Cornell Human Spirit Fellowship as well as participating in the On Deck Health accelerator. Moreover, for the past year I’ve been working as a venture scout for 10VC, an early-stage fund based in Silicon Valley. Please feel free to reach out if you’re building, I’d love to learn more about your vision.
Noah Lucia: VP of Operations
College: Dyson
Major: AEM
I’m From: Rochester, NY
Email: njl57@cornell.edu
My name is Noah Lucia, and I’m a junior at Dyson. This is my third year as part of Life Changing Labs, where I’m passionate about building the entrepreneurial community at Cornell. Outside of school, I’m the founder of Filmify, a startup focused on helping film and TV productions stay on schedule and within budget in real time. I'm excited to continue contributing to Life Changing Labs and be part of its growth this year!
